Meet Our Therapist
Tanisha Dixon is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant in the state of Ohio. She received her Master’s in Community Counseling from Xavier University and her Bachelors of Social Work from Northern Kentucky University.
Tanisha has over a decade of experience treating ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, PTSD, Social/Emotional Skills, and Substance Use and Trauma. She can work with clients of all ages, but her primary area of expertise is children and adolescents. Tanisha is trained in areas of crisis de-escalation, suicide prevention, and trauma informed care.
Tanisha has worked as a community and school based therapist in Hamilton, Fairfield, and Princeton school districts. Tanisha has experience providing individual, group and family counseling to clients of various racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. She works with a variety of modalities, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma Focused, Mindfulness Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused. Therapy services are offered both in person and through Telehealth communications.
Outside of work, Tanisha enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks, listening to music, and watching movies.
